Fragrant and delicate chocolate-banana cake with sour cream, which can be prepared not only for home tea drinking, but also for the festive table. The rich chocolate taste of the cupcake is achieved by adding cocoa powder and chocolate drops to the dough, as well as thanks to sour cream, which includes milk chocolate. Mega Chocolate Cake!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Instead of chocolate drops, you can use regular chocolate. You can also replace chocolate with chopped nuts or take a mixture of nuts and chocolate, or add nothing at all. Bananas for cooking are best used as ripe as possible or even overripe - they have more sweetness and more fragrant.
  3. Turn on the oven immediately, the desired temperature is 160-170 ° C.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and, if you like, chocolate drops (or chopped chocolate, or chopped nuts). Mix thoroughly. Set aside.
  5. Peel bananas.
  6. In a separate bowl, mash the banana pulp with a fork until pureed.
  7. Add one whole egg and two yolks (I was lucky and there were two yolks in one egg at once). Set the egg whites aside. Mix the mass with a whisk.
  8. Pour in milk and butter. Stir again.
  9. Beat the reserved egg whites to stiff peaks.
  10. Pour the liquid mass into the mixture of dry ingredients. Stir.
  11. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites in several batches.
  12. Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper and fill with batter.
  13. Bake the cake in the oven at 160-170°C for about 70-80 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer.
  14. Remove the finished cake from the mold and cool on a wire rack.
  15. You can serve such a cupcake on your own, but if you prepare a simple sour cream with chocolate for it, then you can safely serve it on the festive table.
  16. For cream, combine sour cream (the fatter, the better) and milk chocolate broken into pieces.
  17. Put in a water bath and heat until the chocolate is completely melted. You can do this in the microwave, the main thing is not to overheat the mass so that the chocolate does not curl.
  18. When hot, the cream is more like icing, so it needs to be completely cooled. Chill the cream in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
  19. Top the cooled cake with cream. It can also be additionally decorated with chopped nuts, banana slices and chocolate drops.
  20. Chocolate banana cake with sour cream is ready.
  21. Bon appetit!
