It is not so difficult to make a surprise cake for your loved family. All we need is to bake the tasty biscuit cake and make the cream and chocolate glaze.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Warm up the baking oven. Prepare in advance bakery mold. The bakery mold bottom shall be covered with parchment paper. Do not use the parchment paper if silicone bakery mold is used.
  2. Slightly froth eggs and sugar with help of a mixer. The ready mass then shall be added with milk (of room temperature) and vegetable oil. Using the separate utensil, mix the following ingredients: sieved flour, baking powder, baking soda, cacao powder, and vanilla sugar. Proceed with frothing egg & oil mix gradually adding dry ingredients. Pour fresh boiling water over the ready pastry and thoroughly stir the mass. Put the pastry in the bakery mold. Bake the biscuit in the baking oven for nearly 50 minutes. Check if it is ready with help of a skewer or match stick.
  3. In the course of biscuit baking, we can proceed with making the cream. The chocolate biscuit cake (made with fresh boiling water) can be added with any cream. It will be similarly tasty with either sour-cream topping or any pastry cream. Take a small saucepan and mix their eggs, sugar, flour, and milk. Boil on a small fire continuously stirring the mix until it is gelated. Then turn off the burner and take the saucepan off the stove. Wait until the mass is cooled and then, add previously softened dairy butter and beat up with help of a mixer. Place the ready cream in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. Chocolate glaze making. Mix cacao, sugar, milk, and flour in the saucepan and put it on the small fire. Immediately upon the glaze is brought to a boil, take it off the fire and add a piece of butter. Thoroughly stir the glaze until the butter is completely dissolved.
  5. Cake decoration. Cooled chocolate biscuit cake shall be cut into three shells. Each cake shell then shall be spread with pastry cream. The top shell is to be poured with hot glaze. As an option, sides of the cake may be poured with nuts.
