Muffins are one of the easiest baked goods. And so that the finished muffins have a crispy crust on the surface, you need to sprinkle the dough with a little sugar before baking.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Melt the chocolate with butter in a water bath or in the microwave.
  2. Stir in the melted chocolate and set aside to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix 200 g flour with salt, soda and baking powder.
  4. Mix candied fruits with 1 tbsp. flour.
  5. In the cooled chocolate, add 100 g of sugar, mix.
  6. Add egg, stir.
  7. Then add milk, mix well.
  8. Here is such a homogeneous chocolate mass should turn out.
  9. Pour the chocolate mixture into a bowl with flour, mix with a spoon until the flour is already all mixed in, but no need to stir the lumps! (This heterogeneity is another difference between muffins and cupcakes.)
  10. Pour the cherries with flour into the dough, mix with a spoon in two or three movements.
  11. Put the dough into muffin molds (I have silicone molds, so I don’t oil them, and if you have metal ones, you need to oil them with butter).
  12. Sprinkle the top of the muffins with the remaining sugar.
  13. Place in an oven preheated to 200-205 degrees.
  14. Bake chocolate muffins for 20-25 minutes (depending on oven).
  15. Chocolate muffins with candied cherries are ready. Bon appetit!
