For any holiday, especially for spring, it’s nice to make a chocolate-orange cake that is not too complicated even for novice cooks from the available ingredients.

  1. Add sugar to the yolks separated from the whites. Whisk.
  2. Pour a pinch of salt to the proteins, beat them into a lush foam.
  3. Mix the yolks with sugar with softened butter and baking powder.
  4. Add flour to the beaten yolk mass, combine with whipped proteins. Mix.
  5. Pour vanilla sugar into the dough.
  6. Finely chop the chocolate with a knife.
  7. Grate the orange zest and squeeze out the juice.
  8. Heat the oven to 180°C.
  9. Pour the juice of two oranges into the dough, add the zest, chocolate.
  10. Add sour cream, mix.
  11. Pour the batter into an oiled mold. Bake Chocolate Orange Cake for 1 hour.
  12. Squeeze orange juice for syrup.
  13. Pour sugar into the juice, pour 3-4 tbsp. tablespoons of water, boil, let cool.
  14. Take the baked cake out of the mold.
  15. Put the cake on foil, cool.
  16. Pierce the cooled orange cake with chocolate in several places with a culinary needle.
  17. Soak the cake with orange syrup.
  18. Wrap orange cake in foil for 8 hours.
  19. Turn the soaked chocolate-orange cake on top of the cake, for example, with candied flowers, so that it is tasty, fragrant and elegant!
