  7. In a bowl, combine the dates, orange zest and vegetable oil (or 45 g of vegetable oil and 15 g of warm butter).
  8. Pour in the milk and add the egg. Mix thoroughly.
  9. In the resulting mixture, add cornmeal with baking powder.
  10. Mix the dough with a spoon.
  11. Grease a cake mold with butter. We fill the form with dough, level it.
  12. We send it to a preheated oven and bake a corn cake with dates at a temperature of 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes (focus on the features of your oven). Using a wooden skewer, check the readiness of the cake - the skewer should remain dry.
  13. Let the cake cool down a bit, then take it out.
  14. Corn muffin is best served warm, with honey, peanut butter, or jam.
