  1. 1. Cover the petals of freshly picked, freshly blossomed roses with sugar. Pour brandy and 1/2 bottle of red wine. Close tightly and put in a cool place for 1 hour.
  2. 2. Strain the mixture.
  3. 3. Before serving, add the remaining red wine, top up with white wine and champagne.
