  1. Prepare grape leaves. Wash the grape leaves, remove the stem (hard) part. Put in boiling salted water until color changes (about a minute). Remove, place on a tray and dry.
  2. Grate or finely chop the onion for the filling, boil the rice until tender. Mix the onion and rice with the raw minced meat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Wrap the filling in grape leaves, starting from the stem of the leaf. Season with salt, put in a saucepan in tight rows and simmer over low heat for about an hour, covered with a lid.
