Eggs in tomato sauce are an easy-to-prepare Indian dish that is not a problem to prepare in your kitchen anywhere in the world, as the ingredients are quite simple.

  1. Cut the onion into small pieces.
  2. Grind coriander seeds and dried chili in a mortar.
  3. Heat a small amount of vegetable oil. Add cumin seeds. Warm up a little to get the aroma.
  4. Add chopped onion, cinnamon stick (powder will not work in this recipe). Salt a little and fry until transparent.
  5. Add chopped spices, chopped garlic and turmeric. Stir and fry for about 1-2 minutes over low heat.
  6. Add the tomato cut into pieces, stir and fry so that the tomatoes let the juice out.
  7. Pour in about 100-150 ml of hot water and simmer until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Add chopped parsley or cilantro and bring to a boil. Simmer for up to five minutes.
  9. Cut the boiled eggs into halves and send them to the pan with gravy. Warm up for 3-5 minutes and turn off the heat. Eggs in tomato sauce are ready.
  10. The dish goes well with any side dish, vegetable or cereal. In India, this dish is served with boiled rice. Bon Appetit!
