Espresso tonic (caffe tonic, coffee tonic) is a popular summer cold drink of Scandinavian origin, consisting of strong coffee, tonic and lots of ice

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the required ingredients.
  2. It is better to take coffee of good quality - the taste of the drink directly depends on it.
  3. Pour ground coffee into a Turk and pour in clean cold water. To prepare an espresso tonic, you need to brew a double espresso - espresso doppio, so we take 14 g of coffee for 60 ml of water (instead of 7 g, as for a regular espresso).
  4. Put the turkey on low heat and brew the coffee until a thick foam appears. Don't let the coffee boil.
  5. Strain the finished coffee into a cup through a fine strainer.
  6. Fill a tall glass (mine is about 350 ml) 3/4 full with ice.
  7. Pour tonic over the ice.
  8. And pour in hot coffee right away.
  9. The cooling espresso tonic is ready. If you wish, you can serve a drink, garnished with a slice of lemon or lime and supplemented with a straw.
