Frittata with cream cheese and ham

Frittata (Italian omelet) is made with ham and mascarpone cream cheese. Frittata served with tomato salad.

  1. Switch on the oven with grill function for preheating.
  2. Heat a frying pan with a diameter of 25 cm with a refractory handle over medium heat. Lubricate with oil. Pour the onion into the pan, fry, stirring occasionally, until soft.
  3. In a bowl, combine eggs, salt and pepper and beat lightly with a fork. Add chopped ham to eggs, mix. Pour the eggs onto the onions in a skillet.
  4. Place 8 teaspoons of cream cheese on the scrambled eggs along the edges (in a circle) at an equal distance from each other. Fry the frittata for about 3 minutes, lifting the edges with a spatula. Place the pan under the grill and cook the fritatta with cheese for a couple of minutes.
  5. Prepare a salad. In a large bowl, combine arugula and tomatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Serve the ham and cheese frittata with the salad immediately.
