Frittata (Italian omelette) with red fish, onions and Brussels sprouts is the perfect example of a full, hearty breakfast or dinner. It is juicy, tasty, healthy and does not take much time to prepare. Frittata with fish and vegetables is first cooked in a pan and then baked in the oven.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the food you need.
  2. I have frozen Brussels sprouts.
  3. If you don't have Brussels sprouts, replace them with broccoli or cauliflower.
  4. I was making an omelet with cream. You can use full-fat milk or 4-5 tablespoons of sour cream.
  5. Fish (I used trout), clean from the skin and large bones, wash.
  6. Heat the oil in an oven-safe skillet. Place the fish and fry on all sides for 2 minutes.
  7. You do not need to fry the fish for a long time, it cooks very quickly. After browning, transfer the fish to a plate and cool.
  8. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  9. Disassemble the cooled fish with your hands into pieces, while removing all small bones.
  10. Peel the onion and cut into half or quarter rings.
  11. Put the onion in a pan with oil, in which the fish was fried, and fry until soft, 5 minutes.
  12. Cut the heads of Brussels sprouts in half, add to the pan to the onion and fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  13. Add fish to the pan with vegetables, mix.
  14. Combine eggs, cream, salt and black pepper in a deep bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  15. Pour the omelet mixture into the pan and cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes, so that the mass grabs (becomes denser at the edges).
  16. Then place the frittate pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  17. Frittata with salmon and Brussels sprouts is ready.
  18. A juicy, delicious omelet with red fish and vegetables will appeal to all lovers of hearty, but light dishes.
  19. Bon Appetit!
