Ingredients

Directions

  1. Defrost the hake at room temperature for 3-4 hours. After defrosting the hake carcasses, dry and cut into pieces.
  2. Pour lemon juice on the fish, pepper a little and let stand for 20 minutes.
  3. Put the tomatoes in boiling water for a few minutes, then peel them off. Cut the tomato pulp into small pieces.
  4. Peel, wash, dry onions, garlic, carrots with a paper towel. Cut onion and garlic into small cubes, carrots into thin strips.
  5. Roll the pieces of fish in flour.
  6. Heat half of the olive oil in a skillet. Put the fish and fry on both sides until golden brown.
  7. Put the fried fish on a plate, cover with a lid.
  8. Heat the remaining olive oil in another skillet. Add onions, garlic and carrots. First, fry for a few minutes over high heat until light blush, then reduce the heat and simmer a little until soft.
  9. Add spices to the fried vegetables: paprika, coriander and pepper. Fry for 1 minute.
  10. Put chopped tomatoes in a pan, fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  11. Wash parsley and cilantro, dry, finely chop.

  13. Put the fried fish pieces on the vegetables.
  14. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
  15. Wash sweet peppers, remove seeds and partitions, cut into short strips.
  16. Open the lid, turn the fish over to the other side so that it is all soaked in vegetable juices. Sprinkle with chopped bell peppers on top. Close the lid and simmer the fish and vegetables for another 10 minutes.
  17. Put the finished dish on a plate and serve. Use potatoes or rice as a side dish. Bon Appetit!
