Ingredients

Directions

  1. Sift 320 grams of wheat flour (2 cups) through a sieve into a deep bowl. Sifting enriches the flour with air; from such flour, baked goods are more airy and tender.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and half a teaspoon of baking soda to the flour. Stir dry ingredients thoroughly with a cooking spatula.
  3. Cut the butter at room temperature into small cubes (about 1 cm side). Remove the oil from the refrigerator beforehand to warm it up. Transfer the oil to the bowl of a food processor or mixer.
  4. Place 110 grams of granulated sugar (about half a glass) into the bowl of a food processor or mixer. Beat butter and sugar until smooth. If you don't have a mixer, beat with a whisk.
  5. Break 1 chicken egg into a mixer (or food processor) bowl. Divide the second egg into yolk and white, put the yolk in a bowl. Beat until smooth.
  6. Add flour mixture to the mixer (or food processor) bowl, knead the dough. If no mixer is available, knead the dough by hand.S
  7. Break a bar of dark chocolate (100 grams) into small pieces, pour 2/3 of the chocolate into the mixer bowl. Save one third of the chocolate to decorate the baked goods. Mix the dough and chocolate well with a spoon or spatula. Instead of a bar of chocolate, you can take small diameter chocolate drops, chocolate drops or chips, chopped chocolate.
  8. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.
  9. Use the dough to form a cookie cutter into balls (approx 3.5-4 cm in diameter). Transfer the resulting blanks to a baking sheet. Press 3-4 pieces of chocolate into each ball from above, pressing down the ball a little (giving the shape of a hemisphere).
  10. Bake in an oven preheated to 170 ° C for 10-15 minutes until the baked goods are golden brown. When ready, turn off the oven and leave the cookies inside the oven for another 20 minutes. The biscuits are slightly cracked, slightly dried.
