Honey cake with spices

This pastry is not only well stored for several days (up to 1 week), but at the same time it becomes especially tasty - with a pleasant structure and a richer aroma.

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Line the sides and bottom of a rectangular baking dish (21 x 11 x 6 cm) with parchment. Mix the sifted flour, baking soda and spices in a bowl. Heat and melt honey, butter and sugar in a saucepan. Add to dry ingredients and stir. Add lightly beaten egg and milk. Mix well until smooth. The dough should be relatively liquid.
  2. Pour the batter into the pan and bake the cake for 30-35 minutes until it has risen and is firm to the touch. Cool on a wire rack, remove from mold and slice.
