The cocktail has become so famous that Buena Vista still sells up to several hundred thousand servings a year. Let's not deny ourselves this pleasure!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. First you need to brew coffee in a French press.
  2. 2. For brewing, you need one of the varieties of Arabica, a medium roast (this type of roast, which is popular in Europe, and is most often used). But, of course, you can use any other coffee of your choice, as long as the coffee is fresh, medium grind (roasted within 7-25 days, after 25 days it loses its taste). Use only clean, filtered water, not more than 95 degrees.
  3. 3. Coffee is brewed within 3 minutes.
  4. 4. Heat up a serving glass. To do this, simply fill it with boiling water and then pour it out. While the coffee is brewing, place the sugar in the glass and pour over the whiskey. Whiskey must be Irish - it plays a very important role. Ideally, Jameson is used.
  5. 5. Set fire to the mixture of whiskey and sugar and stir everything with a bar spoon until sugar remains at the bottom. It is better to raise it with a spoon to the edge of the glass so that the sugar caramelizes - this way the drink will have a very pleasant aftertaste. After the ignition process, the whiskey will lose its seventh sharpness.
  6. 6. After putting out the whiskey, pour in the coffee.
  7. 7. Whip the cream in a shaker with ice - the main thing here is not to overdo it, since the cream can curdle from very sharp cooling, and it should be moderately cold, without lumps. Then, using a bar spoon, carefully spread the cream over the coffee and whiskey so that they lie in an even layer and do not fail (they do not fail due to the temperature difference, not the density). This moment is quite capricious, here you will need to practice, as the cream can treacherously fail and spoil the appearance of the drink. For a better appearance of the cocktail, you can, however, use cream from a can, but this will not be the same ...
