The famous chocolate cake "Caprese" (Italian torta caprese) is prepared absolutely without flour. According to legend, an Italian chef simply forgot to add it when he was preparing a dessert for mafia Al Capone on the island of Capri. But the result exceeded all expectations! Soft and tender on the inside, but with a crispy crust on the outside, this chocolate dessert will win the hearts of absolutely all chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all the ingredients for making flourless Caprese chocolate cake.
  2. Turn on the oven, let it warm up to 175 degrees.
  3. Prepare the baking sheet immediately. Lubricate the bottom and sides of the mold with butter and sprinkle with cocoa. Shake off any remaining cocoa.
  4. Break the dark and milk chocolate into pieces. Butter cut into cubes. Place chocolate and butter in a deep bowl.
  5. Place the bowl in a water bath (on a pot of boiling water), but so that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
  6. Stir until the chocolate melts and combines with the butter into a homogeneous mass.
  7. Remove the chocolate mass from the heat and leave to cool.
  8. Grind the almonds in a coffee grinder or in a blender to the state of flour. You can leave the peel on the nuts, in this pie it does not affect the taste.
  9. Break the eggs into a deep bowl and combine them with sugar.
  10. Add ground almonds and cocoa to eggs with sugar. Stir.
  11. Pour in the cooled chocolate mixture. Stir with a blender or whisk.
  12. Pour the prepared "dough" into the prepared baking dish. Bake the chocolate cake at 175 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
  13. Remove chocolate cake from oven and cool slightly.
  14. Top with cocoa cake. The best way to do this is with a strainer.
  15. Chocolate cake "Caprese" is ready, you can invite guests!
  16. Chocolate cake is very easy to cut into portioned pieces.
  17. You can also decorate the serving plate by sprinkling cocoa.
  18. The exquisite taste of this Italian cake will appeal to even the most demanding gourmets. The inside of the cake was well baked, but remained soft and tender.
  19. Help yourself!
