Koftesi Baked with Couscous

Couscous can be substituted for bulgur, adjust the sharpness of keftesi to suit your taste.

Ingredients

• minced mutton 500 g
• couscous 1 glass (s)
• 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
• dried paprika 1 tsp
• olive oil 2 tablespoons
• salt
• ground caraway seeds 1 tsp
• garlic 2 pcs.
• ground red pepper 1/4 tsp
• ground black pepper 1/4 tsp
• onion 1 pc.
• bread crumbs 4 tablespoons
• large bell pepper (red) 1 pc.
• water 1.5 glass (s)

Directions

1. Season the minced meat with salt, spices, add bread crumbs, crushed garlic, finely chopped onion and knead. Form small meatballs with wet hands.
2. Put in a saucepan with hot oil and brown quickly on all sides. Remove with a slotted spoon.
3. Cut the pepper into strips, sauté in the same oil.
4. Put couscous in a baking dish, add browned pepper, smooth, pour over salted boiling water, stick koftesi on top. Cover the top with foil or baking paper.
5. Put in a preheated oven up to 200 C for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cilantro when serving.
