This is the easiest recipe for a homemade lemon liqueur, and it tastes just as good as Limoncello.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. Wash the lemons, dry them, and remove the zest either with a vegetable peeler (so that the white part does not get in, otherwise it will be bitter) or with a grater.
  2. 2. Squeeze juice from lemons.
  3. 3. Place the zest, and juice in a glass container and pour over everything with vodka. Mix. Close the lid. Let it brew in a dark, cool place for a week.
  4. 4. After 7 days, boil the syrup from water and sugar. Cool down.
  5. 5. Strain lemon tincture through a double layer of gauze.
  6. 6. Mix the tincture with the cooled syrup and pour it into a bottle using a funnel.
  7. 7. The drink is best served chilled.
