A fragrant, tasty, crumbly, healthy, dietary, hearty, creamy, wonderful side dish or an independent dish - steamed long-grain rice.

  1. Pour rice into a deep container, fill it with filtered water, rinse and drain the water. We do this procedure several times until the water becomes transparent.
  2. Then we transfer the rice to an enamel pan. Put butter and a peeled onion on top of the rice.
  3. Boil water, add some salt, then pour it into a saucepan so that the water covers the rice by 1-1.5 cm. Cook the rice over low heat until it completely evaporates.
  4. As soon as all the liquid has evaporated, remove the pan from the heat and leave the rice under the lid for about 15 minutes.
  5. After that, open the lid, remove the onion from the pan.
