Martinez can be prepared in three ways: shake - in a shaker, build - right in the glass in which it will be served, and wash - by mixing and straining

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. Into a mixing glass made of crystal (or an ordinary crystal glass with a volume of at least 150 ml), filled two-thirds with ice, pour first the bitter tincture, then liqueur, sweet vermouth and gin
  2. 2. Immerse a spoon in a glass with ice and, gently stirring or twisting the spoon, stir for at least ten seconds in order to lower the temperature of the drink as much as possible.
  3. 3. Remove the zest from the orange with a long curled ribbon and place it with fresh ice in a pre-chilled clean glass.
  4. 4. Strain (bartenders do this using a special cocktail filter, which is a round plate with a handle, holes and a spring around the perimeter) the cocktail into a glass with fresh ice.
  5. 5. Top with the cocktail cherry
