You can diversify regular mashed potatoes by adding cabbage and bacon to it. Mashed potatoes are airy and very aromatic thanks to the spicy greens. Delicate cabbage juicy complements the taste and texture of the finished dish, fried bacon promises to become a "cherry". A boring side dish not only on a weekday, but also for a festive table.   1. Prepare all ingredients. Bacon is good fresh or raw smoked.
  2. Peel the potatoes and wash well. Cut into medium cubes. Send the potatoes to a saucepan, cover with cold water, salt. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
  3. Cut the bacon into slices. Preheat a skillet, add the bacon and fry until golden brown on both sides over medium heat (3-5 minutes).
  4. Rinse the cabbage and pat dry with a paper towel. Chop into small strips.
  5. Place the fried bacon on a plate with a paper napkin.
  6. Send the cabbage to the pan, where the bacon was fried and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes under the lid, stir occasionally. If the fat from frying the bacon is low, add a little butter.
  7. Rinse the parsley, dry and chop finely.
  8. When the cabbage is soft, add the greens. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir and turn off heat.
  9. Rinse green onions and chop finely.
  10. Pour milk into a saucepan and add onions. Put on fire and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
  11. Drain the broth from the finished potatoes.
  12. Add butter. Mash the mashed potatoes with a potato grinder.
  13. Pour milk and green onions into mashed potatoes in small portions. Mash the potatoes with a crush until smooth.
  14. Add stewed cabbage to the puree. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Stir until smooth.
  15. Mashed potatoes with white cabbage, green onions and bacon are ready. Place the mashed potatoes on a plate, garnish with fried bacon and serve immediately.
