Hemp seed and bacon keto soup tastes almost the same as regular pea soup, while the ingredients for keto soup are different. You can make the soup more fat by adding meat ingredients. And to fill the soup with healthy protein, hemp seeds are used. Hemp seeds are rich in fat and protein with vitamins and minerals.

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a deep skillet or saucepan.
  2. Add garlic, onions, celery, carrots, bacon, bay leaves, salt and pepper. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until the onions are translucent and the bacon is golden brown.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and cover saucepan. Let the soup simmer over low heat until the meat is easy to separate from the bone and the hemp seeds are tender.
  5. Take out the bay leaf and meat. Separate the meat from the bone, chop finely and return to the soup.
  6. For a thicker soup, drain some of the liquid from the saucepan.
