Meatballs baked with zucchini on skewers

An unusual dish of young zucchini and minced meat. Zucchini circles, alternating with minced meat and potato meatballs, are strung on wooden skewers and baked in the oven under cheese. It turns out not only beautiful, but also very tasty!

  1. Prepare the necessary ingredients. You will also need 3 wooden skewers for baking.
  2. Peel potatoes and onions, wash.
  3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  4. Transfer the minced meat to a bowl.
  5. Grate potatoes on a fine grater and add to minced meat.
  6. Cut the onion into small cubes and also add to the minced meat.
  7. Peel, chop or pass the garlic through a garlic press. Add garlic to minced meat with potatoes and onions.
  8. Salt and pepper all ingredients.
  9. Thoroughly mix the minced meat into a homogeneous mass (preferably by hand).
  10. With wet hands, shape the minced meat into small balls.
  11. Wash the young zucchini, trim the edges and cut into thin slices.
  12. Transfer the chopped zucchini to a bowl, season with salt and stir.
  13. Now string on wooden skewers, alternating among themselves, circles of zucchini and meatballs.
  14. Arrange prepared skewers in a baking dish.
  15. Top each skewers with mayonnaise.
  16. Send the baking sheet to the oven, bake the zucchini with meatballs in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
  17. Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater.
  18. Remove the skewers from the oven and spread the cheese on top of them.
  19. Return to the oven and bake at the same temperature for another 5-7 minutes.
  20. Meatballs baked with zucchini, on skewers, are ready.
  21. Serve these delicious skewers hot.
