Menemen is a traditional Turkish dish most often served for breakfast. I am sure that many of you often cook an omelet with vegetables, but the peculiarity of this traditional dish is that it contains more vegetables than eggs. Delicious breakfast, easy to cook!

  1. We make cross-shaped cuts on the tomatoes and pour boiling water over the tomatoes. This is necessary so that the skin is easily removed from the tomatoes.
  2. Pepper and cut into cubes
  3. We clean the tomatoes from the skin. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.
  4. Fry sweet peppers in a mixture of vegetable and butter.
  5. Then add the tomatoes.
  6. Simmer until tender, until the mass becomes homogeneous. Can be covered with a lid.
  7. Salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Add eggs and cook menemen, stirring constantly so that the eggs set, but the mass should remain liquid.
  9. I recommend serving menemen with slices of bread that can be dipped in an egg and vegetable mixture.
