Ingredients

Directions

  1. Like any other cake, start cooking "Napoleon" with cakes. To make them "correct", you must follow the sequence described.
  2. Pour 1.5 kg of flour on the work surface. Put on it 500 g of butter, and cut it into pieces. Stir lightly. This will be the basis for the dough. Spread the mass with a slide.
  3. Water at room temperature must be mixed with salt until the complete dissolution of the crystals.
  4. Next - slowly and gradually pour this water into the center of the slide of flour and butter, then mix thoroughly and knead the dough with a homogeneous structure, avoiding lumps.
  5. The dough should be divided into 9 pieces, then roll out the cakes sprinkled with flour. And place in the oven to bake at 180 degrees. Baking should last from 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. The next step is to prepare the cream. To do this, put 2.5 liters of milk on the fire. While it is boiling, carefully beat the eggs and sugar until foaming. Add the rest of the flour to the beaten eggs and gradually add the resulting mixture to the milk. Achieve complete homogeneity of the mass, and, as a result - properly cooked cream. Bring the whole mass to a boil and turn it off as soon as the first bubbles appear. Add 100 g of butter and vanilla to the hot cream.
  7. Place the first cake on a separate dish and generously grease it with cream. Cover it with a new cake and grease again. Repeat until the components are finished. Lubricate the sides well as well, as the cakes should soak well. The top of the cake can be decorated with crumbs, cookies, or berries.
