Ginger Ale invigorates, refreshes and relaxes at the same time
Ingredients
Directions
Prepare foods for your ginger drink. All ingredients need to be chilled a little before cooking.
The ginger root must be peeled and cut into thin slices. (If someone is peeling ginger for the first time: peel the ginger root like a potato, cutting off the peel in a thin layer.)
Pour the chopped ginger in a saucepan with a glass of water and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat, cover and let sit for about 1 hour.
Strain the ginger broth through a sieve (the boiled ginger can be discarded), pour into a saucepan, add sugar and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove the ginger-sugar syrup from heat and cool. Transfer to a jar or bottle with a lid and store in the refrigerator.
For ginger ale, place ice and mint leaves in a glass (about 3-4 leaves in each glass).
Squeeze out the juice of half the lime.
Then pour ginger syrup and soda water into a glass in about the following ratio: 1 part lime juice, 2 parts ginger syrup, and 3 parts soda water.
Garnish with ginger ale with mint leaves and serve. Refreshing non-alcoholic ginger ale with mineral water is ready.
