Try pickled eggs from an old, original recipe. It would seem that they were just boiled eggs, but lay in the marinade for a couple of days - how delicious!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Let's prepare the marinade.
  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of salt into one liter of water, put one sprig of thyme, one onion, two bay leaves, two hot peppers, four peas of allspice and a teaspoon of caraway seeds.
  3. Eggs, if desired, prick, fill with cold water.
  4. Put a saucepan with marinade and a saucepan with eggs on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
  5. Put the eggs in cold water, and leave the marinade to cool.
  6. Break the eggshell by tapping with a teaspoon and put the eggs in a jar.
  7. Fill with chilled marinade along with spices and refrigerate for two days.
  8. We serve pickled eggs with mustard and bread with butter for breakfast or dinner.
