If boiled potatoes remain in the fridge in the evening, prepare this bright dish for breakfast. Potatoes baked in an egg under a crispy cheese crust are delicious! And with basil, it's almost like an Italian frittata))

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the boiled potatoes into slices or slices 0.7-1 cm thick.
  2. Turn on the oven - it should heat up to 200 degrees.
  3. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with vegetable oil. Arrange the potato slices in one layer.
  4. The next layer is meat. It can be any sausage, boiled or smoked meat, ham. I used homemade sausage.
  5. Tear the basil leaves with your hands and sprinkle them over the meat layer. Dry basil can be used. And you can take, for example, parsley.
  6. Place the potato slices in the next layer.
  7. Now you need to prepare the fill. To do this, slightly beat the eggs (you can add milk), add salt and pepper. Stir.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the prepared casserole.
  9. Place the dish in the bottom third of the oven. Bake the omelet in the oven until the egg mixture is firm (it took me 30-35 minutes).
  10. Grate cheese
  11. Fill the omelet with potatoes with grated cheese evenly. Put the omelet in the oven again for 10-15 minutes.
  12. When the cheese is melted and slightly browned, turn off the oven, but leave the omelet in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  13. Ready omelet with potatoes and sausage. Bon Appetit!
