Omelet with rice and bell pepper

A variegated omelet with bell peppers, rice and root celery - a hearty breakfast or a full dinner. Everyone can cope with the preparation of such an omelet, and if you already have pre-cooked rice, then it will take very little time!

Ingredients

  1. Boil about 120 ml of water in a saucepan, add salt and rinsed rice. Cook the rice until tender (about 12-15 minutes).
  2. Then put the rice in a colander and rinse with a little water.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
  4. Melt the butter in a skillet and sauté the onions over medium heat until translucent.
  5. Cut the pulp of sweet pepper into strips.
  6. Peel the root celery and cut into small cubes.
  7. Add the peppers and celery to the skillet with the onions.
  8. Saute vegetables over medium heat until pepper and celery are soft (4 minutes). Season the vegetables with a little salt during the frying process.
  9. Then transfer the rice to the pan to the fried vegetables.
  10. Continue to sauté peppers, onions, and celery with rice over low heat for about a minute.
  11. Meanwhile, break the eggs into a bowl.
  12. Pour milk to the eggs, add salt and black pepper.
  13. Shake the eggs and milk with a fork until the egg mixture is more or less homogeneous.
  14. Pour the resulting egg-milk mixture over the contents of the pan.
  15. Turn the heat to just below medium, cover the skillet with a lid, and cook the omelet for about 8-10 minutes, or until the surface has set.
  16. An omelet with rice, bell peppers and celery is ready.
