Peppermint ice cream is a great way to freshen up in the summer heat. Such ice cream is difficult to find on store shelves, but it is very easy to make at home. And in this article, we will tell you how to make mint ice cream with your own hands.

Choose a recipe to your liking and enjoy a pleasant mint coolness.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Rinse and dry the mint. Transfer to a saucepan, pour in the milk, and set on fire. Bring the milk to a boil, and remove it from the heat. Infuse under a closed lid for about 30-40 minutes.
  2. Combine the yolks with the sugar. Using a blender, beat until light and fluffy. Add the starch and beat again.
  3. Strain the milk through a sieve. Squeeze more mint leaves to keep more essential oil in the milk.
  4. Put peppermint milk on the fire and add butter. Stirring, pour a trickle of the egg yolk mixture. Cook over low heat until the mass begins to thicken. Do not bring it to a boil! Otherwise, the yolks will curl.
  5. Strain the preform through a sieve again to filter out any lumps and film of milk. Cool.
  6. Use an ice cream maker for freezing - this is the easiest way to make mint ice cream at home. If you do not have an ice cream maker - pour the workpiece into the tray and put it in the freezer. Do not forget to stir the workpiece regularly for the first 5 hours. And then your mint ice cream will be especially airy!
