Do you know what souvlaki is? Behind the mysterious name is not a secret, but a national Greek dish: “kebab” or “shesh-kebab” of pork on a skewer, supplemented with vegetables. Incredibly tasty, surprisingly simple, deliciously juicy, and even healthy fast food. Try it, this recipe is really worth trying!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the meat into cubes, onion into quarters, chop the garlic finely; assorted peppers are crushed with a mortar. Now everything is ready for marinating.
  2. Put the pork in a container, add onion, garlic, dried seasoning, salt and pepper. Pour olive oil, balsamic vinegar - mix with your hands. Leave for 1 hour in the refrigerator, covered with cling film.
  3. To the pickled meat, add orange pepper cut into pieces, tomato circles, shake the container several times.
  4. We string chopped meat, vegetables on wooden skewers - we alternate the components.
  5. To bake a barbecue in the oven, you need a shallow heat-resistant form (like a grill), the bottom of which is covered with foil (shiny side up). We lay out our skewers from side to side.
  6. We bake souvlaki in the oven, on the lower level in the "Grill" mode at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  7. To serve, put pita bread on the bottom of the plate, put skewers with delicious meat on it.
  8. Souvlaki is simply delicious!
  9. Enjoy your meal!
