If you have mashed potatoes after dinner, you can use them to make delicious potato patties with cottage cheese for breakfast.

  1. Prepare the required ingredients.
  2. Prepare mashed potatoes in advance in the usual way: mash hot boiled potatoes with milk and butter until smooth without lumps. To cook cutlets, the puree must be cold.
  3. Wash the green onion, dry it and chop finely (the white part of the onion is not used).
  4. Mash mashed potatoes with a fork. Mix the puree with cottage cheese into a homogeneous mass.
  5. Add egg and stir.
  6. Add onion, stir.
  7. Pour in flour, mix well so that the mass becomes homogeneous.
  8. Form small cutlets from the potato-curd mass with your hands and roll them in breadcrumbs on all sides.
  9. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. First fry the cottage cheese-potato cutlets from one side until golden brown.
  10. Then turn over and fry on the other side.
  11. Delicious potato cutlets with cottage cheese are ready. Serve hot, as a side dish or as a separate dish, with sauces or sour cream.
