A hearty potato dish with mushrooms will not only serve as a delicious side dish for a family lunch or dinner, but it can also be an independent dish.

  1. Cut the potatoes into small pieces.
  2. Boil in salted water until tender.
  3. While the potatoes are boiling, cut the onion into half rings.
  4. Fry the onion in a little vegetable oil until soft.
  5. Slice the mushrooms.
  6. Add the mushrooms to the onion in the pan and fry until tender.
  7. Pour in the cream, salt and pepper the vegetables.
  8. Make mashed potatoes from cooked potatoes. Add an egg, salt to taste and, if desired, butter. To make potato meatballs easier to mold, you can add a little flour.
  9. Form small potato balls with wet hands and place in a baking dish.
  10. Put the fried onions with mushrooms on the potato meatballs, pour them with creamy sauce. Bake potato meatballs in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve the mushroom potato balls as a side dish or as a stand-alone dish.
