I recommend everyone to cook a lean dish of potatoes and mushrooms. This dish is prepared without eggs, without meat and without cheese, from the simplest ingredients, but it turns out very tasty and satisfying. Lenten recipe for potato rolls with mushrooms, in tomato sauce - for lunch, dinner and even on a festive table!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the potatoes into pieces and send them to boil.
  2. Finely chop the onion.
  3. We chop the mushrooms.
  4. Cook the potatoes until soft (20-25 minutes after boiling) and knead until smooth, after draining all the water. Leave the mashed potatoes to cool until warm.
  5. Fry the mushrooms and onions in vegetable oil until tender (until the onions are transparent and until the moisture from the mushrooms evaporates), salt to taste.
  6. While the mushrooms, onions and potatoes are cooling down, we prepare the filling: in a separate container we mix tomato paste, salt and sugar (the amount of salt and sugar can be adjusted to your taste), Provencal herbs; pour boiled water.
  7. Kneading the potato dough: add vegetable oil and flour to warm potatoes. We do not add all the flour at once, it may be needed less, depending on the type of potato. We knead well. The potato dough should not crumble.
  8. We line the table with cling film, slightly oiled, and lay out the potato dough in the form of a rectangle.
  9. Put a layer of mushrooms on a layer of potato dough.
  10. Using cling film, wrap the roll.
  11. Cut the potato roll with mushrooms into pieces and place them vertically in a greased mold.
  12. Fill potato rolls with cooked tomato sauce.
  13. We send it to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 25 minutes.
  14. Potato rolls with mushrooms are ready. Sprinkle the dish with fresh dill and serve.
  15. Bon Appetit!
