Dishes cooked in pots have a special flavor and aroma. Here's a simple recipe for potatoes with onions and anchovies cooked in a pot of cream.

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into 1 cm thick cubes. Cut the onion into thin rings.
  2. Grease a large ceramic pot with half the butter, put half the potatoes, then half the onion.
  3. Drain the anchovies, reserve 1 tablespoon of oil. Cut the fillet into thin strips and put on a layer of onions, then again a layer of potatoes and the remaining onion.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the low-fat cream, reserved butter, salt and pepper, pour over the contents of the pot and sprinkle with the remaining butter on top.
  5. Cover the pot with a lid and put on medium heat, cook until soft potatoes and onions. Then remove the lid and make a golden brown crust under the grill. Pour heavy cream over the finished dish, sprinkle with parsley, black pepper and bread crumbs (optional).
