Soft and airy pumpkin-chocolate cake is a delicious and easy-to-make treat from affordable products. Adding chocolate and cocoa powder allows you to create a contrast of flavors and give the cake crumb a more spectacular look. The inclusions of chocolate dough resemble streaks on marble, due to which the cupcake got the name "Marble". Simple, beautiful and delicious! Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Clean the pumpkin and cut into large pieces. Place the pumpkin pieces in a saucepan, cover with cold water in such an amount that the water barely covers the pieces. Bring water to a boil and cook for 13-15 minutes, until tender.
  2. Drain the water, grind the pumpkin to a smooth puree and set aside.
  3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and line with baking paper. I use a mold measuring 25x11x7.5 cm.
  4. Combine chilled pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, vegetable oil and vanilla sugar. Mix thoroughly until the mass becomes homogeneous.
  5. Mix wheat flour with salt and baking powder.
  6. Sift the flour into the bowl with the pumpkin mixture.
  7. Mix well until you get a homogeneous dough without lumps.
  8. Melt the chocolate in a water bath or microwave.
  9. Separate half of the dough and combine with melted chocolate and cocoa powder. Mix well.
  10. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180°C.
  11. Pour the dough into the mold, alternating dark and light dough.
  12. With a wooden skewer or other improvised object, mix the dark and light dough in zigzag movements so that an arbitrary marble pattern is obtained.
  13. Bake the pumpkin muffin with chocolate in the oven at 180°C for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. Pumpkin cake "Marble" is ready. Let the cake cool slightly, remove from the mold, cut into portions and serve.
  15. Bon appetit!
