Rice with onions in Bulgarian style

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Finely chop a large onion.
  3. In the form in which we will cook the rice, put on low heat, melt the butter, fry the onion.
  4. Add rice, lightly fry (until rice is soaked in oil and turns golden brown). Salt if desired.
  5. Cover the rice with water (1: 1), cover the tin tightly with foil and place in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
  6. It turns out to be an excellent separate dish, but it can also be used as a side dish for meat, chicken, fish, vegetables.
