Rustic Potato Pie

Such a potato pie, or, as it is also called, a country pie, can be prepared quickly, since you do not have to waste time on the dough. You can make this dish even more satisfying and more interesting in taste if you make a pie with potatoes and sausage or meat.

  1. Boil potatoes. To do this, peel it and cut it into slices. Then fill with water so that it completely covers the potatoes. Bring to a boil over high heat, add 0.5 teaspoon of salt, cover, simmer for 15-20 minutes on a low boil, until soft.
  2. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  3. Sauté the finely chopped onion until golden brown. To do this, melt 1 tbsp. spoon of oil, put onion, fry, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
  4. If you want, cut the meat and when the onion softens and becomes transparent, you can add finely chopped boiled meat (or sausages, sausage, ham, etc.) to it and fry until tender, another 2-3 minutes. Refrigerate.
  5. Place the finished potatoes on a sieve to drain the water. Make mashed potatoes - mash the potatoes with a potato grinder. Refrigerate mashed potatoes.
  6. Beat a raw egg into the cooled puree and mix.
  7. Mix with chilled roast.
  8. Turn on the oven.
  9. Grease the mold with butter and lay out the potato mass. Carefully flatten the top and make 4 holes.
  10. Release 1 raw egg into each well.
  11. Smear the surface of the potatoes with sour cream.
  12. Bake the potato pie in a preheated oven (180 degrees) until the surface is browned, 20-30 minutes. Chill slightly in the oven.
