Saffron rice with raisins and nuts

  1. Soak the rice in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain the water and leave to stand.
  2. Fry the nuts in olive oil, remove from the pan.
  3. Fry finely chopped onions in the same oil, add rice, mix, fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in 200-250 ml of water, add raisins, saffron, salt, stir and simmer over low heat until tender.
  5. Remove the finished dish from heat and let it brew under the lid for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, sprinkled with nuts, with chicken.
