Thanks to its simple but original design, beetroot and potato salad with melted cheese and apple can be put on a festive table.   2. Let's start preparing the salad by boiling beets and potatoes. Boil potatoes for about 20 minutes after boiling water, beets for 1 hour. Then remove the vegetables from the water and cool.
  3. Cut the melted cheese into small cubes. Peel the pickled cucumber if it is tough. Cut the cucumber into cubes.
  4. Cut the onion into small cubes. Peel the apple and remove the seeds. To prevent the apple from darkening, sprinkle it with lemon juice. Cut the peeled apple into small cubes.
  5. Peel the herring fillet and cut into small cubes. Peel the cooled potatoes and also cut into cubes.
  6. Combine prepared foods in a deep bowl: apple, pickled cucumber, processed cheese, onions, boiled potatoes and herring cubes. Add salt, black pepper and mayonnaise.
  7. Toss the salad and place in an oval or oblong dish.
  8. Peel the boiled beets and cut into cubes. Stir the beets with sugar and vegetable oil.
  9. On the surface of the salad, use a spoon to make shallow oblique grooves and carefully place the beet cubes in them.
  10. Chop the dill finely and garnish the light lettuce strips.
