And you probably have no idea that the salad with croutons was invented by accident. In 1924, when there were almost no products left in the kitchen of a restaurant in Mexico, Italian chef Cesar Cardini prepared a salad of onions, hard Parmesan cheese, lettuce, and wheat croutons. The ingenious chef used olive oil and egg sauce for the dressing - and this is probably our homemade mayonnaise! Since then, the recipe for Caesar salad with croutons has changed hundreds of times. And we will prepare a quick salad with crackers from almost nothing.

  1. Cut the sausage and cucumber into strips.
  2. Grate the cheese on a large grater.
  3. Boil eggs, cool, and cut into cubes.
  4. All the ingredients, but without croutons, are put in a deep bowl and seasoned with mayonnaise.
  5. We choose crackers that you like: with the taste of bacon, caviar, crab, rye, or wheat.
  6. Garnish the salad with greens or spread it well on lettuce leaves, and sprinkle with croutons before serving.
