Delicious ham and eggs fried in a bagel are a perfect example of how a breakfast with a twist can be made with the simplest ingredients! Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat, brush with vegetable oil and lay out the bagel.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Break the egg into the hole in the donut.
  3. Cut half the ham into small slices and place in the center of the donut, being careful not to damage the integrity of the yolk. Sprinkle the egg with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Fry the eggs for 2-3 minutes, until the protein sets.
  4. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook the eggs in a bagel for another 1-3 minutes, until the protein is fully cooked and the yolk is desired. Then place the scrambled eggs in a bagel on a plate.
  5. Repeat the process with the remaining half of the food.
  6. Serve bright and unusual scrambled eggs in a bagel to the table. Sprinkle each serving with a pinch of chopped green onions or other fresh herbs, if desired.
  7. Bon Appetit!
