  1. First, let's prepare the strawberry-ginger syrup. To do this, wash the strawberries and cut them if they are large. Take a piece of ginger root about 3-4 cm long and chop or grate it. Place 1/2 cup strawberries, ginger, sugar, and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan and heat.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar. Then reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries are tender. This will take about 3 minutes. Let the syrup cool, then strain and set aside.
