An interesting appetizer for a festive table. Quail eggs stuffed with cod liver and capers. It's very simple, but it takes time. I do not recommend it if you are expecting 100 guests, but if there are not very many guests, you can show off your jewelry work!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Put the quail eggs in cold salted water, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Immediately place under running cold water until the eggs are completely cooled.
  2. Peel the eggs, carefully cut them across and take out the yolk. We combine the yolk and the cod liver (I have smoked in oil), rid of excess oil. Knead with a fork.
  3. Rinse the capers (if using salted ones, rinse them under running water and soak them in cold water for 10 minutes). Grind the capers.
  4. Add capers to the filling, pepper and mix thoroughly.
  5. Now we start the testicles and connect the halves with a toothpick.
  6. If desired, you can season each testicle with a drop of balsamic cream
  7. For serving, you can cut the apple in half and wrap each half in foil. Use the prepared apple as a stand for a snack, sticking toothpicks with eggs into it.
  8. You can decorate the dish with lettuce leaves, and decorate each skewer as desired, I added a square of sun-dried tomatoes in oil.
  9. Bon Appetit!
