An interesting recipe for buns, which I often cook instead of bread! Delicate potato buns, easy to bake and very appetizing!

  1. Boil the potatoes in advance in their uniforms. We take out the butter from the refrigerator before cooking.
  2. Rub the potatoes and butter on a fine grater.
  3. Add sugar, yeast (crumbled), two egg yolks, vegetable oil and mix. Let the mass stand a little (10 minutes) so that the yeast is activated.
  4. Then add salt and add flour in parts. The amount of flour depends on the moisture content of the potatoes.
  5. We knead a soft elastic dough (should not stick to the table). Put the finished dough into a cup, cover with a foil and send it to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. The dough rises slightly even in the refrigerator.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, lightly dusting the surface of the table with flour.
  7. Lubricate the dough layer with yolk.
  8. And fold the dough in three.
  9. Gently roll out the dough into a layer about 2 cm thick. On top of the dough we make long cuts with a knife (1-2 mm deep).
  10. Cut out round buns with a diameter of 5-7 cm by cutting (you can cut any shape).
  11. Put the buns on a baking sheet covered with parchment, and let them rest a little under the foil, about 20 minutes.
  12. We turn on the oven, let it heat up to a temperature of 180 degrees.
  13. Grease the buns with yolk before baking.
  14. We bake potato buns in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
