Delicious toast with red cabbage, Italian cheese and egg for a hearty breakfast!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. You can use buns instead of bread.
  2. Finely chop the red cabbage.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon in a skillet. vegetable oil. Put the cabbage in the pan.
  4. Cut the purple onion into small cubes.
  5. Add the onion to the cabbage.
  6. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the cabbage for 15 minutes over low heat. Add 1 tbsp if necessary. water so that the cabbage is stewed and not fried.
  7. Fry the toast bread or half a bun in a grill pan on both sides for 2 minutes.
  8. Put the finished cabbage on slices of bread.
  9. Crumble blue cheese and place on toast.
  10. In a frying pan, heat the remaining vegetable oil and cook an omelet from two eggs so that the yolk remains runny, as shown in the photo.
  11. Place one fried egg on top of the toast.
  12. Pour the chili sauce over the top of the toast and garnish with arugula leaves or fresh parsley. Delicious breakfast of toast with red cabbage, gorgonzola and egg is ready. Bon Appetit!
