Defrost cranberries in advance, rinse and pat dry. Cut the berries into 2-3 pieces. Cut the grapes in half, remove the seeds. If the berries are large, cut them in half.
Remove coarse fibers from celery. Cut the petioles into thin slices. Core the apple, cut into medium pieces.
Chop the walnuts coarsely.
Combine all salad ingredients in a large bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for 2 hours.
