Walnut muffins with plums

Muffin dough is prepared with the addition of ground walnuts and various spices, the magical aroma of which will conquer true gourmets.

  1. Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. Butter 12 small muffin tins.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, cook for about 1 minute, until golden but not brown. Remove the saucepan from the stove, let the oil cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, cloves and salt. Add powdered sugar and ground walnuts.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff foam. Gradually add the dry ingredients and melted butter to the proteins, gently mixing the mass with a spatula.
  5. Pour batter into prepared molds, filling halfway. Place plum slices on top. Place the peanut muffins with plums in the preheated oven, bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the molds at room temperature for 5 minutes. Then remove the walnut muffins with plums from their molds and let cool completely on a wire rack.
