Rice has its red color due to the content of natural pigments (anthocyanins) in the shell. Anthocyanins are powerful antioxidants, but they are not formed in the human body, we can only get them from food.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil the rice until tender and discard in a colander.
  2. Cut the peeled beets into thin strips or grate. Place with rice and pour over with pomegranate juice. Pour spices on top. Cut the onion into half rings or rings, garlic into 2-3 pieces. Heat the pan with oil well and fry the garlic cloves.
  3. Remove the fried garlic and add the onion to the pan. Season with salt and fry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Pour the hot oil and onion over the spices and stir after a couple of minutes.
  4. Serve the salad sprinkled with nuts and herbs.
