  1. Rinse the beef, peel and dry.
  2. Cut the meat into small pieces and fry in a deep frying pan until golden brown, salt.
  3. Cut the onion into large cubes, fry in a separate pan, then add to the meat.
  4. Pour in flour and mix well.
  5. Season the meat with red pepper, pour in the wine and add hot water (so that the meat is covered with liquid).
  6. Add peppercorns and bay leaves.
  7. Simmer the meat over low heat under the lid until tender (about an hour).
  8. Add tomato puree and garlic squeezed through a press and simmer for a few more minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
